After 5 days of antibiotics, Nero was fine, though we continued for another 3 days. Then came his overdue vaccination (5 days after completing his antibiotics course). He made no fuss at all with getting jabbed in the rear. However, on check up, Doc said he has wax in his ears and gave us ear drops to put in twice a day. Oh yes..piece of cake...NOT!
The extremely pungent smelling bottle has Nero racing for cover each time we even pick it, leave alone uncap it. So far, in 4 days, of the 8 prescribed dosages, we have managed to squirt in 3.5. No treat is too yummy to keep him at our side. Last night, while he was in deep sleep on his side, we sneaked a spray into his exposed right ear. He went under the bed with the most pitiable expression on his face. Needless to say, we are the meanest pet parents on Earth to him right now. And the white bottle sits on the shelf, mocking our feeble attempts to empty it in the right place, at any time!
